Sea Ghost B1 is a next-generation underwater glider concept developed from the X-RAY and Z-RAY platform family. Its design philosophy is based on long-endurance autonomous ocean movement, reduced energy consumption, and intelligent sensor integration.

Unlike conventional powered underwater vehicles, Sea Ghost B1 is intended to exploit the natural efficiency of glider movement. By using a low-drag body, buoyancy-assisted travel, and a hydrodynamic undersea profile, the system can cover extreme distances with significantly reduced propulsion demand. This makes it suitable for long-duration maritime survey, environmental intelligence, oceanographic research, seabed mapping, and persistent underwater data collection.

The platform’s material concept includes advanced composite skins and metamaterial-inspired surface research aimed at reducing visual disruption and improving non-intrusive operation in sensitive marine environments. Combined with modular sensor bays, onboard AI processing, and long-range mission architecture, Sea Ghost B1 represents a highly efficient undersea observation platform for the future of autonomous ocean systems.
